As the name suggests, high and low voltage switchgear is equipment connected to high or low voltage cables. Typically, power supply bureaus and substations use high voltage cabinets, then step down the voltage via transformers to low voltage cabinets, and from the low voltage cabinets, electricity is distributed to various distribution boxes used by consumers. Essentially, these are electrical devices that assemble protective components like switches and circuit breakers into a single unit.
