Biped Walking Robot (Two-Legged Robot) SW Model

A dual-legged walking robot (bipedal robot) SW model is worth referencing. In September 2010, researchers at Chiba Institute of Technology in Japan developed a bipedal walking robot named "Hercules." It can transport up to 100 kilograms of goods at once. This large robot was created at the Future Robotics Technology Center affiliated with Chiba Institute of Technology and was named "core." The robot stands about 2 meters tall and weighs 230 kilograms, moving forward by walking on two legs. When carrying heavy loads, its legs can perform flexing and extending motions. A large engine is required to mobilize a robot of such size. The engine used in this robot has a design output power of 1.2 kilowatts, with a maximum output reaching 3 kilowatts, equivalent to five times the output power of a small motorcycle engine. Each leg of "core" is equipped with six of these engines. Researchers have also designed a special structure for "core's" legs to absorb approximately 80% of the impact when its feet strike the ground. The researchers plan to use this "Hercules" robot as a prototype to further develop smaller-sized bipedal walking robots and robots capable of carrying humans for transportation.
