The material commonly used for machine tool columns is HT250, which offers good strength, wear resistance, and heat resistance. It also has excellent vibration damping and casting properties, and requires artificial aging treatment. In addition, HT200, HT300, or ductile cast iron are also frequently used, depending on specific work requirements.
