Puzzle toys have a history of about 235 years. As early as 1760, this popular and beneficial form of entertainment appeared almost simultaneously in France and England. A picture was glued onto cardboard and then cut into irregular small pieces. Initially, these pictures were educational, either accompanied by short texts suitable for young readers or aimed at teaching the emerging bourgeoisie about history or geography.
