Suction Cup Robot Arm Model

The vacuum suction cup is one of the actuators of vacuum equipment. The suction cup is made from nitrile rubber, which provides a high tensile strength. As a result, it is widely used in various vacuum holding devices, such as in the construction, paper, printing, and glass industries, to accomplish the tasks of holding and transporting thin and light items like glass and paper. The author has developed a new flat-type vacuum suction cup by improving certain local structures of a vacuum suction cup produced in Japan. It features a simpler structure, easier installation, attractive appearance, and strong holding power. After conducting tests with heavy objects, its performance metrics meet the design requirements, and it is now being used in batch operations for the paper-holding process at a paper mill in Guangzhou, operating smoothly.
