Da Vinci Manuscript - Armored Vehicle 3D Model SW Design Source File Sharing.
The concept of the tank can first be seen in Leonardo da Vinci's manuscripts, depicting a conical armored vehicle. The actual realization was achieved by a British war correspondent named Evington. In 1903, tracked vehicles were invented, mainly used as agricultural tractors. During this time, the British also took notice of these tracked vehicles. Not only did they establish a research institution for landships in February 1915, but they also purchased two tractors from HOLT for research. By the end of that year, the institution developed the first armored tracked vehicle, known as "Little Willie."
