Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a processing technique that primarily uses discharge electrodes with specific geometric shapes (EDM electrodes) to erode the geometric shape of the electrode onto metal (conductive) parts. EDM is commonly used in the production of stamping dies and casting molds.
